BAM wins head role in Leeds theatre facelift

BAM’s construction team has begun work on the complex project to give Leeds Playhouse theatre facelift.

Page/Park has designed the £15m scheme to modernise the theatre and make it more accessible for everyone. The new Bramall Rock Void studio theatre space will be constructed giving more space for performances. A new city facing entrance will be built to improve access to the building.

The Playhouse, comprised of two theatres, opened in 1990 and have been criticised for their lack of disabled access, plans will significantly improve this.
